The trustees are passionate to see the Kingdom come to Calderdale and our nation, actively pursuing the deepening of unity between Christians and churches in our local area. The group comprises leaders from different denominations, with a wide range of experience in church leadership and outreach. They meet regularly and diligently seek God's heart for CTC to ensure the charity remains faithful to its purpose and calling, keeping in step with God's tremendously exciting vision.
Trish is a Lay Reader based at Halifax Minster and St Mark's church, Siddal. as well as working full time as a chemistry analyst. In her spare time, she does the things that the Lay Reader role requires, e.g. leading Church services, preaching and teaching, as well as other voluntary work. Having grown up in what was called a 'rough' part of town, suffered the associated labelling - and survived by God's grace, her particular passion is to serve and help others who are marginalised, overlooked or discriminated against in society, and to help them see that they have great value in God's eyes regardless of what labels society tries to stick on them. In the rest of her spare time, she likes walking, reading and catching up on lost sleep!
Supporting Sheffield Wednesday is the greatest cross John has to bear - after running Christ Church Mount Pellon and St. Augustine's Church! He's involved in lots of schools' work and chairs the body that oversees R.E. and collective worship in schools.
Brought up in the Pentecostal church, John has been ordained in the Church of England for the past 21 years, and is constantly surprised and amazed at what God is doing, and excited to be part of it in any way.
In his spare time he walks (as far away from others as possible), and wastes hours on his PS4.
